Michael Givel’s fused glass art is contemporary with a focus on abstract expressionist, folk art, symbolism, and neo-impressionist art. Michael, who lives in Norman, has created numerous types of fused glass art pieces since 2013. When glass is very hot and liquid in a kiln at 1480°F and above, even slight temperature increases can create significantly different design effects and art creations. Thus, glass at high temperatures, and Michael’s glass art, in general, reflect the ever-changing and impermanent reality of the complex abstractions that characterize the modern world and the universe.
